'My Son the Doctor' Program
Overview

Following a serious diagnosis both the patient and family are stressed and overwhelmed; What is the diagnosis? What is the treatment? What is the prognosis? What are my options? Whom do I turn to? Who can guide me? What do I do? This leads many people to online support groups and information sources that may not be sufficient or reliable.
Ask the right questions - Get the right answers
MedExtra’s accompaniment service adds depth to the interaction with the treating physicians. Your MedExtra Care Manager will prepare for the appointment with you and establish with you what needs to be addressed. MedExtra’s Care Managers engage the physicians as medical professionals and ensure that all aspects of case are discussed, and all questions asked and answered. After the appointment, you will receive a detailed report and the Care Manager is available as often as you wish to answer your questions or clarify anything for you.
